San Diego Companies Take Employee Wellness to the Next Level at the Fit Company Challenge
San Diego, CA (PRWEB) March 20, 2016 -- On March 5, 2016 hundreds of participants from companies located in the San Diego area took part in the Fit Company Challenge, a corporate wellness event hosted by the Fit Company Institute providing area companies an opportunity to show the importance of living a fit and healthy lifestyle. Participants worked in teams of 3 to 4 towards completing a variety of fitness stations tailored to challenge the team member’s current fitness level and earn points towards their company’s overall score.
At the first inaugural event in San Diego, Reliant Funding took the top company spot in this year’s Large Team division. “Reliant Funding is a company where we work hard and have fun every day. We are goal oriented as a team,” said Adam Stettner, CEO at Reliant Funding. “The San Diego Fit Company Challenge was a great way to unify our team around a physical objective, a departure from our typical goals. It was a great team building experience, I am proud of all of our employees for the effort they put in and am grateful our hard work and have fun mentality extended outside of the office.”
LeaseLabs took the top spot in the Medium Team division, and Dana Zeff, CEO of LeaseLabs highlighted the impact the event had on the LeaseLabs employees. “I loved how people you would least expect participated, how people from different departments trained together during lunch breaks. The event itself was fun and full of teamwork and bonding. We laughed and cheered and had a blast! We will be signing up again!"
On event date, with the help of over 30 volunteers assisting the contenders, participants challenged their strength, conditioning, power, agility, and ended with a test of endurance in order to show their companies and colleagues that they practice what they preach. Participants used their involvement to bring out company team members, and family members to cheer them on and promote the importance of having fun and effective corporate wellness programs at their companies.
The challenge was held at Nobel Athletic Fields in San Diego, California, a short drive from downtown San Diego.
