New Version 11.5 of Unreal Media Server Allows Creating a TV-like Streaming Experience with Server-side Ad Insertion and Content Switching
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) March 22, 2016 -- Unreal Streaming Technologies have released version 11.5 of Unreal Media Server. This release adds a new type of live broadcast: live playlist, allowing server-side channel switching, ad insertion and streaming whole folders containing media files as a live broadcast; we have also added AES-128 encryption for HLS and other enhancements and fixes.
Streaming providers and content owners can now easily create digital library streaming as a live broadcast, providing a TV-like experience. When combining with timeshift, providers can also enable a trick-play functionality: pause, resume and seek in the live stream. The streams can be played by HLS, Flash, MPEG-TS and UMS players.
