Orlando Restoration and Reconstruction Firm to Demonstrate Disaster Relief Techniques to Aussies
Orlando, Florida (PRWEB) March 24, 2016 -- When a disaster strikes, as it did in Brussels on Tuesday, teams show up to restore order after damage has been inflicted upon the physical premises. Whether it’s an explosion, fire, flood or other circumstances, the aftermath hits on many levels, from victims’ emotional and physical beings to the property surrounding them. In each case, a team of qualified professionals works to restore the location and contents that have been impacted, helping victims rebuild their lives after losses.
Teams like these are meeting at the Orlando World Center Marriott this week for the International Restoration Convention & Industry Expo, where Restoration Industry Association (RIA) members are sharing information that creates best-case scenarios for the restoration and reconstruction of disaster sites.
This year is especially significant in that it’s the Association’s 70th anniversary. Marking this milestone, the RIA has invited a contingent of 10 restoration and reconstruction professionals from Australia to learn about America’s industry and to mutually share best practices.
The Aussies will tour the facilities of RIA member, Emergency Services & Reconstruction (ESR), which provides residential and commercial restoration, remediation and reconstruction services and technology. ESR’s Central Florida facility is located in College Park at 2405 West Princeton Street, Suite 5. The 16,500-square-foot facility includes state-of-the art equipment for smoke odor removal, ultrasonic content cleaning, an on-site ozone chamber and climate-controlled vault storage. The tour will begin on Thursday, March 24, at 9:45 a.m., with photo opportunities at 10:30 a.m.
“We are honored to have been asked by the Association to provide this tour and insights into how disaster restoration and reconstruction is handled in the United States,” said LaDonna Oney, who with her husband Blaine has successfully owned and operated ESR for nearly 30 years.
