Medical Solutions to Host We Heart RNs Celebration for Nurses
Omaha, Neb. (PRWEB) March 30, 2016 -- Medical Solutions, one of the nation’s largest travel nurse staffing companies, will host the We Heart RNs Celebration on April 21, 2016, at Aksarben Village’s beautiful Stinson Park in Omaha, Nebraska.
Just ahead of Nurses Week 2016 and in honor of nurses everywhere, Medical Solutions will gather its employees together with community partners from local nursing schools and other organizations to create the world’s largest human formation of the letters “RN” surrounded by a heart. The record-setting formation and fun celebration will be documented and made into a video, to be shared during Nurses Week, May 6-12.
Special guests will include Miss Colorado, Nurse Kelley Johnson, whose passionate monologue on her career in nursing helped her earn second runner up in the 2015 Miss America pageant, and Omaha’s favorite emcee, Dave Webber.
“Our team is incredibly excited for this celebration of nurses and community,” says Medical Solutions CEO Craig Meier. “Building great careers for our nurses and helping hospitals provide excellent patient care are at the heart of everything our company does. We envision this as a fun, community-building celebration in honor of healthcare professionals nationwide, and we’re also very pleased to raise awareness and funds for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, which is an amazing cause.”
In addition to honoring nurses, the We Heart RNs Celebration will benefit Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, which supports 170 hospitals throughout the United States and Canada, including Omaha’s Children’s Hospital & Medical Center. Medical Solutions will donate $5 per attendee, up to 1000 attendees, and additional donations will also be accepted at the event.
The We Heart RNs Celebration will take place Thursday, April 21, 2016, from 10 a.m.-noon, at Omaha’s Stinson Park, located at 67th & Center in Aksarben Village. Refreshments and free t-shirts will be provided to attendees. The formation will commence after a brief introduction by Webber and Johnson.
