TIPS is a National Cooperative Purchasing Program available to public and private schools, colleges, universities, cities, counties, non-profits and other government entities. Membership is free and available in all 50 states. TIPS eliminates the costly and time consuming process of going out to bid, and ensures competitive contracts with vetted industry vendors.

The Interlocal Purchasing System (TIPS) is sponsored by the Region VIII Education Service Center (ESC8) in Pittsburg, Texas and is governed by the Region 8 ESC Board of Directors. All contracts through the TIPS program have been Awarded under a Competitive Bid Process and approved by the TIPS Board of Directors.
The TIPS Program takes PRIDE in providing a purchasing coop where Awarded Vendors and Members both benefit. With a successful award, a vendor can expedite an order for a member because all purchasing requirements are completed during the RFP process.
