National Nursing Home Week Will Be Celebrated By Rotary Senior Living Residents And Staff From May 8th Through May 14th, 2016
Eagle Grove, Iowa (PRWEB) May 02, 2016 -- In observance of Nursing Home Week - May 8th to 14th, 2016 - Rotary Senior Living in Eagle Grove, IA will be sponsoring several events meant to encourage residents, families and others to engage with their loved ones, family members, or neighbors. In fact, everyone can get set to enjoy the week as the American Health Care Association (AHCA) has designated this celebration week with the theme of “It’s a Small World, with a Big Heart.”
“Our staff wants to make this a special time. Each day we will have a different theme and activities to entertain everyone,” says Brandi Larsen, Director of Nursing at Rotary Senior Living. “We want everyone to enjoy the activities and the feelings engendered by the theme – “It’s a small world with a big heart”."
Rotary Senior Living will hold several events to highlight and celebrate the week. Events planned include:
Monday, May 9th is Hawaiian /Beach Theme. Residents will enjoy Fruit Pizza along with water balloon games and a hula hoop contest.
Tuesday, May 10th is Western Theme. Outdoor games and a picnic are planned.
Wednesday, May 11th is 50’s Theme. This is always a great time for the residents with milkshakes and trivia games for everyone to enjoy.
Thursday, May 12th will be the 80’s. Minute to Win It games and Subway Sandwiches will be served.
Friday, May 13th theme celebrates Rotary Senior Living. The staff will be sporting specially designed t-shirts for the day. There will be a pot luck meal, wheel chair races and the game KerPlunk.
