Connecticut Dermatology Group Provides Complimentary Skin Cancer Screenings at Milford Office Open House
Milford, CT (PRWEB) April 28, 2016 -- May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month. According to the Skin Cancer Foundation, one in five Americans will develop skin cancer in the course of a lifetime. However, most skin cancers can be treated with great outcomes if found early.
With three offices in Connecticut, located in Norwalk, Stamford and Milford, Connecticut Dermatology Group (CDG) aims to make their patients and the entire Fairfield County and Greater New Haven community aware of skin cancer risks and the importance of early detection.

CDG will hold it’s third annual Free Screenings for Skin Cancer day at their Milford location on the Milford Green, located at 233 Broad Street Saturday, May 7th from 9 AM – 1 PM.
This year they have launched the “Wipe Out Skin Cancer” campaign to focus on their goal of “wiping out skin cancer” by educating the Greater New Haven community about sun safety tips and early prevention and detection.
CDG treats and cures more than 1,500 cases of skin cancer annually through Mohs Micrographic Surgery. Their Mohs Surgery Skin Cancer Treatment Center is the largest in between New York City and New Haven and provides same-day, on-premise, and minimally invasive treatment of skin cancer tumors. Dr. Kolenik has completed over 20,000 Mohs procedures. He will be at the event to answer any questions.
In addition to the free skin cancer screenings, CDG is celebrating the opening of their Milford office location by hosting an Open House where the public can meet the CDG team – Yale-trained board certified dermatologists and skin care specialists. The new office offers expanded exam rooms for new medical and cosmetic dermatology services and plentiful parking making it easier for patients to get to appointments.
