Greenberg Traurig’s Rick Brecher Co-Chairs, Speaks at American Conference Institute’s 2nd Annual FCC Boot Camp

Brecher, Technology, Media & Telecommunications shareholder in the Washington, D.C. office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, will co-chair and speak at the American Conference Institute’s (ACI) 2nd Annual FCC Boot Camp. The conference will take place June 27-29, 2016, at the Sheraton Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco.
According to the ACI website, this conference was “designed with input and insights from the leading regulatory attorneys to give professionals that work in conjunction with the telecommunications, satellite, wireline, wireless, and cable industries—as well as spectrum negotiators, industry in-house counsel, and engineers—a strong working knowledge of core FCC competencies.”
On June 28 at 8:45 a.m., Brecher will give opening remarks at the start of the conference. At 3:45 p.m., Brecher will participate in a panel discussion titled, “FCC Enforcement: Best Practices, Tips, Tricks, and Pitfalls to Avoid.” Among other topics, the panelists will address comprehending the FCC enforcement authority; deciphering the possible consequences of an enforcement action; and examining the relationship between the FCC and DOJ and what that means for FCC’s enforcement procedures.
Brecher focuses his practice on telecommunications and media law and regulation. He has practiced before the FCC, other federal departments and agencies, state regulatory commissions, and trial and appellate courts. He has also provided legislative counsel on telecommunications matters. He represents clients in telecommunications transactional matters and provides business counseling and contract assistance to telecommunications and media clients.
