Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) June 24, 2016 -- The Hollywood Athletic Club announces a retrospective displaying the work of late photographer Melinda Lerner (1959-2016), running from June 30 through July 4. The display pays homage to Lerner’s spectacular photography, through which she redefined the common standards of beauty, reflecting in her work her love of people and their unique attributes.
The retrospective show is on view from June 30 through July 4 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. The Hollywood Athletic Club is located at 6525 Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90028.
Born in the UK to Countess Maree Tarnowska and artist Arnold Lerner, Melinda was surrounded and inspired by art as a child. She often accompanied her father on his photoshoots, learning her skills at a very young age. Known for the spontaneity of her photographs, Melinda left her shoots unplanned and helped her models to reveal their inner selves in front of her camera, by providing a humorous, relaxed and collaborative atmosphere which allowed them to express themselves with ease. Melinda’s unique approach was led by her fascination with finding an individual’s hidden beauty, which often resulted in mysterious photos that leave viewers eager to learn more about the story behind the scene and wanting to see more.
