When asked what matters most to them, JEBCommerce employees often use the words “stewardship,” “transparency,” “community” and “family.” And thanks to the agency’s new Parental and Medical Leave Policy, mothers and fathers now have more opportunity than ever to spend quality time with their new child.
“As business owners, we get to have an extensive impact on the lives of our team members, both at work and at home. I don’t take that responsibility lightly; in fact, that is precisely what gets me going every morning,” said Jamie Birch, JEBCommerce Founder and CEO.
JEBCommerce’s new policy provides extended benefits for both mothers and fathers, including:
- 12 weeks of paid leave with 100% of current pay and health coverage
- The option for an additional 12 weeks of paid leave with 25% of current pay
- The option for 6 additional months of unpaid leave, with a guaranteed job and their last salary upon return
- 100% of an employee’s current pay for one month in the event of approved medical emergencies or sickness
“I want to build a place where my daughter can work, and I’d be proud of her doing it. A place that honors families and allows all our team members to better their entire lives through the work they do here,” Birch said. “I challenge other business owners to look at policies like these, and see how they can strengthen and better their team members’ lives.”
