NativeAmericanJewelry.com Celebrates American History and Culture
(PRWEB) July 20, 2016 -- From May of 1804 to September of 1806, the legendary figures of American history, Lewis and Clark, trekked across the newly acquired Louisiana territories that comprised the center of the current nation. The need to establish an American presence in the unclaimed land, before the British and other European powers could claim it.
September marks the end of this brave journey and NativeAmericanJewelry.com is celebrating the September 2016 with a new collection of jewelry that “embodies the heart and spirit of early American explorers” stated the company’s spokesman, Steven Onida.
NativeAmericanJewelry.com is a company that works closely with the Native American artists of the Southwest to promote and bolster the Native community and increase the public knowledge of their culture. The company has been providing stunning jewelry and art from these artisans since they were founded and continue to look for new and innovative ways of doing so.
Onida commented on this new release as well, “Culture is something that comes naturally to people. I think Americans need to start embracing the history of the nation and how Native American culture has impacted our society. Lewis and Clark are great examples of how Native Americans helped shaped the foundations of our society as well.”
The collection released by NativeAmericanJewelry.com this September takes what people know of Lewis and Clark’s great expedition and the few artifacts that remain from that journey. The new collection features sterling silver bear paw pendants to reflect the Grizzly Claw Necklace that was gifted to the team through their interactions with Native American tribal leaders.
The new release will also heavily feature jewelry that incorporates the bird symbols as well. In Native American culture, the bird is seen as a symbol of both freedom and strength, which are traits that define the Native American people and Lewis and Clark’s famous journey.
Onida and his team hope that people will reflect on the nation’s history and the people that helped make it what it is today this September and invite people to learn more about Native American culture on their site.
