Evidence In Motion Now Offering Clinical Doctorate in Occupational Therapy
Louisville, KY (PRWEB) August 08, 2016 -- Evidence In Motion (EIM), is proud to announce they are now offering a Clinical Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (OTD). The 18- to 24-month program, which is built on the most recent evidence-based practice recommendations, can be presented in EIM’s blended learning model or 100% online, providing students the opportunity to tailor the program to fit their specific goals.
The Postprofessional OTD program will strive to improve the quality of occupational therapy care by improving therapists’ knowledge of current evidence and promoting the use of evidence-based practice in daily clinical practice. The program and will offer rolling admissions with start dates available in January, March, July, and September. The first cohort of students will begin the program in July 2016.
The OTD program requires completion of 30 total credit hours and can be completed either in a Single Program Track or Dual Program Track format, which combines the OTD with a certification program. Both OTD Tracks require 15 core credits of OTD coursework. In addition, the Single Program Track format also requires 15 credits of the student’s choosing from the OTD elective course catalog. The Dual Program Track format is comprised of the aforementioned core coursework plus 15 additional credits that will be primarily transferred from their certification program of choice:
• Hand Therapy
• Concussion Management
• Executive Program in Private Practice Management
• Geriatric
• Industrial Health
• Stroke Recovery (in partnership with NeuroRecovery Training Institute)
• Therapeutic Pain Specialist (TPS) (in partnership with International Spine and Pain Institute)
