airberlin increases service from JFK for Summer 2017
Miami,Florida (PRWEB) August 03, 2016 -- airberlin increases nonstop flights to Germany in summer 2017
• Frequency increase from New York (JFK) to Berlin-Tegel
airberlin is strengthening its long-haul network from New York (JFK) to Germany’s capital Berlin by three additional weekly flights in summer 2017. The flights connect smoothly with many destinations within the airline’s global network.
The very popular flights from New York (JFK) to Berlin will be increased by three additional frequencies to up to ten flights per week. Together with the existing double daily service to Dusseldorf, travelers can choose from 24 weekly connections with airberlin to Germany in summer 2017. In addition, one frequency will also be added during the upcoming winter schedule to both Berlin and Dusseldorf, allowing passengers to fly daily with airberlin to Berlin and eight times per week from JFK to Dusseldorf.
The network improvement proves the increasing importance of the hubs in Berlin-Tegel and Dusseldorf and the long-haul network to and from North America.
„airberlin has already seen a strong expansion of its US network this year as the airline added two new destinations and several frequencies to its existing US network. The further expansion of our US operations in winter this year and summer 2017 to and from JFK shows that we are determined to continue on our path to position airberlin as a premium network carrier with a strong US footprint and an excellent proposition even for the most discerning business traveller,” said Stefan Pichler, Chief Executive Officer at airberlin.
„We are pleased that airberlin is expanding its air service to John F. Kennedy International Airport--the premier U.S. gateway for business and leisure travel,” said Thomas L. Bosco, Port Authority Aviation Director. “Connecting the New York metropolitan region to airberlin's markets is a big win for air travelers who'll benefit from having more choices than ever.”
In total, airberlin flies nonstop from eight US-destinations in summer 2017 to Dusseldorf and Berlin:
- New York (JFK)
- Boston, Chicago
- Miami
- Orlando (new)
- Fort Myers
- San Francisco
- Los Angeles.
All Airbus A330-200 operating these flights are equipped with airberlin’s premium long-haul product: 19 seats in the exclusive FullFlat Business Class section and 271 Economy Class seats, including 46 XL Seats, which offer around 20 per cent more legroom.
