InDemand Interpreting Announces Collaboration with UHealth - the University of Miami Health System
Seattle, WA (PRWEB) August 04, 2016 -- InDemand Interpreting, a technology-enabled language services performance improvement company and a leading video remote interpreting (VRI) provider within Healthcare, announced a new collaboration with UHealth – the University of Miami Health System, to provide video remote interpreting technology to bridge the communication gap with limited English proficient (LEP), Deaf and hard of hearing patients across the health system. This collaboration is enabling UHealth to proactively improve its language access program and to comply with the new stricter regulations within Section 1557 of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) which took effect on July 18, 2016.
InDemand provides immediate access to interpreters 24 hours a day, seven days a week, in 21 languages via video in addition to American Sign Language (ASL) and more than 200 spoken languages telephonically. With its highly qualified, medically-focused interpreters and state of the art VRI technology, InDemand exceeds the new, stricter ACA guidelines for video interpreting.
