PivotPoint Named Gazelle Champion at The ISE® Lions’ Den in Vegas; Waratek Named Runner Up
Las Vegas, Nevada (PRWEB) August 04, 2016 -- T.E.N., an information technology and security executive networking and relationship-marketing firm, named PivotPoint Risk Analytics the 2016 Gazelle Champion during The ISE® Lions’ Den and Jungle Lounge on Wednesday, Aug. 3, at Vdara Hotel and Spa at Aria in Las Vegas.
The third annual event matched five emerging security vendors (Gazelles) against a panel of leading CISOs with tech-heavy backgrounds (ISE® Lions) who have a strong interest in new technology. Representatives from each Gazelle company pitched their solutions inside The ISE® Lions’ Den for the chance to win prizes totaling $30,000. Each of the Gazelles was judged by the ISE® Lions based on the following criteria: vision, innovation and ability to stand out in a crowded market, traction and foundation for success, and quality of their pitch.
The 2016 ISE® Lions included:
Steve Adegbite, Chief Information Security Officer, eTrade
Joe Bennett, Chief Information Security Officer, Hertz
Michael Dierickx, Director of Security Engineering & Information Security Officer, Panasonic Avionics
Dave Estlick, VP of Technology Infrastructure & Enterprise Security, Starbucks Coffee Company
Jamil Farshchi, Chief Information Security Officer, The Home Depot
Stacey Halota, Vice President of Information Security & Privacy, Graham Holdings
Ray Hawkins, Chief Information Security Officer, Genesis HealthCare Corporation
Talvis Love, SVP of eCommerce & Enterprise Architecture & Chief Information Security Officer, Cardinal Health
Yonesy Nuñez, Senior Vice President & Information Security Leader, Wells Fargo
Clarke Rodgers, CISO and Director of Cybersecurity & Privacy, Velogica: SCOR Global Life Americas
Sameer Sait, Vice President & Chief Information Security Officer, Arrow Electronics
Mike Towers, Chief Information Security Officer, Allergan
PivotPoint’s solutions enable organizations to understand their financial exposure from cyber-attacks by translating cyber risk into financial risk, enabling CISOs to build and defend their budgets based on business impact and make cybersecurity a business conversation rather than simply a technical one.
The ISE® Lions found the product innovative and the pitch extremely effective, ultimately selecting PivotPoint as the Gazelle Champion. As the top-rated Gazelle, PivotPoint won a $25,000 prize package including an ISE® Programs sponsorship, the IDC Futurescape Report, briefing sessions with renowned industry experts Charles Kolodgy and Pete Lindstrom, and communications services from ZAG Communications.
The runner up included Waratek with their virtualization-based solution known as Runtime Application Self Protection, or RASP which is able to provide protection for known and unknown vulnerabilities without requiring instruments or filters, tuning, or code changes.
Runners-up received passes to attend an ISE® Executive Forum & Awards Gala during 2017 valued at $5,000.
Other participating Gazelles included Remidiant and enSilo.
“We created the ISE® Lions’ Den & Jungle Lounge to connect emerging companies with buyers, investors, and channel partners in an effort to solve business needs for all involved,” said Marci McCarthy, CEO & president of T.E.N. “This year’s Gazelles provided the Lions and the other CISOs in attendance with some amazing pitches for some truly unique and innovative solutions.”
The ISE® Lions’ Den was held with a concurrent reception-style “Jungle Lounge,” which featured Vegas-style passed hors d’oeuvres, signature top-shelf cocktails and space for Gazelles to network with potential customers, investors and partners.
