Drummond Group Launches TWAIN Compliance Certification for Imaging Devices and Applications
AUSTIN, TX (PRWEB) September 27, 2016 -- Drummond Group LLC, a leading test lab and certification body for the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and B2B industries, announced September 27, 2016, that it is launching its TWAIN Compliance Certification Service, an exclusive and proprietary testing suite that certifies imaging devices and software applications for compliance to the TWAIN standard.
The TWAIN initiative originally was launched in 1992 by leading industry vendors who recognized a need for a standard software protocol and applications programming interface (API) that regulates communication between software applications and imaging scanners. “The TWAIN Working Group is very excited about Drummond’s release of driver and application test tools for the TWAIN standard,” said Jon Harju, Chair of the TWAIN Working Group and CTO at Visioneer, Inc. “Application testing is a new dimension that will help ensure interoperability from end to end and is a very positive improvement to implementing TWAIN solutions."
“We are thrilled to provide scanner manufacturers our state-of-the-art testing suite to achieve TWAIN Compliance Certification,” said Dave Dolan, Drummond Group’s President. “Evaluating up to 163 objective criteria for scanners and 61 for software applications, Drummond Group’s TWAIN testing suite ensures consumers can select TWAIN Compliant Certified devices and applications, which promotes greater interoperability.”
The TWAIN Compliance test suite is open to both software application providers and imaging scanner manufacturers who seek TWAIN certification for their products. Clients may register at http://www.HardwareCertification.com or http://www.drummondgroup.com to secure preferred testing dates.
