OxBlue Introduces Live Video On Demand to their Construction Cameras
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) September 27, 2016 -- OxBlue Corporation, a leading construction camera service provider, is rolling out new camera system technology that delivers real-time monitoring and documenting of jobsites.
Live video on demand (VOD) is OxBlue’s latest in a series of construction camera enhancements, offering users instant, in-the-moment visual access to activity at the jobsite.
”At the touch of a button, our clients can tune in and follow events as they happen, in streaming high-definition video on demand,” said OxBlue CEO Chandler McCormack. ”VOD technology delivers our clients images of jobsite work-in-progress, showing the movement of people, equipment and supplies and offering new insights into the real-time status of their projects.”
Best of both worlds.
Live VOD is available as an optional add-on to most OxBlue construction webcams, which also take photos at regular intervals and produce striking, high-resolution 6 to 24-megapixel images as well as professional-quality time-lapse movies. Live VOD adds a third, equally stunning capability.
"We’re offering the best of both worlds in jobsite visibility – crystal clear images and live video on demand."
Chandler McCormack, OxBlue CEO
Adding live VOD requires physically updating camera hardware. The technology is available on most new and previously purchased OxBlue construction cameras. Pricing for the live VOD add-on is based on the camera system in which VOD hardware is installed. OxBlue’s live VOD service also provides for multicast communication, whereby multiple users on different devices can watch live video simultaneously.
”OxBlue’s introduction of live VOD reflects the company’s culture of innovation and constant improvement,” McCormack said. “It also reflects OxBlue’s commitment to offering our clients the best-in-class products they have come to expect from our company. We are constantly responding to client feedback and improving the user experience.”
In 2015, OxBlue construction webcams earned Constructech magazine’s inaugural Connected Hardware Award, which recognizes hardware that facilitates and enhances connectivity on the jobsite. For two years running, 2015 and 2016, Constructech magazine has named OxBlue to its Constructech 50 listing of ”most influential companies whose technologies serve the construction industry.”
