MEA’s Field Leader Training Expands to Nine Sessions
Bloomington, MN (PRWEB) October 06, 2016 -- The job of a utility industry crew leader is very different from that of the crew worker. Crew leaders are responsible for the work of others, not just themselves. Many non-technical leadership skills are needed for this important role. MEA’s Field Leader Training gives line crew leaders practical, hands-on experience in how to effectively lead their crews with this energy industry focused, two-day course that is perfect for Foremen, Crew Leaders, Leads, Craft and Shift Supervisors.
MEA has offered seven Field Leader Training sessions in 2016 with two more Ameren hosted events scheduled before the end of 2016. Attendees work on self-awareness to build trust, they learn communication skills and how to navigate team dynamics. The session offers resolution tools for workplace conflict and communication and leadership skills using energy delivery examples.
MEA’s Field Leader Training is customizable. Companies, like Ameren, can select the units to be covered and can personalize the content to their businesses policies and procedures. The 2017 schedule is beginning to fill. Contact MEA’s Business Development Manager, Chad Shannon, to schedule company specific training or watch for open events in 2017. Information regarding an early 2017 open session in Florida will be coming soon.
