Learning.com Wins 2016 Award of Excellence from Tech & Learning Magazine
Portland, Ore. (PRWEB) October 17, 2016 -- Learning.com, announced today that Curriculum Foundry is the winner of the 2016 “Tech & Learning” magazine Award of Excellence. This innovative solution for seamlessly storing, indexing, organizing and sharing digital content was named as one of the “Best New Products” of the year in the prestigious awards program.
“It is exciting to be honored in one of the most rigorous and competitive awards programs in educational technology,” said Learning.com CEO Keith Oelrich. “Curriculum Foundry is a dynamic tool that helps districts make the move to digital curriculum, and we are incredibly proud to see the solution earn this recognition.”
Using Curriculum Foundry’s comprehensive set of tools, educators can build learning objects, lessons, units and even entire courses. Curriculum Foundry also provides districts with a searchable repository of high-quality, vetted and tagged open educational resources (OER) and other free digital resources. The repository includes content for all K-12 grade levels, aligned to state and national standards in one of the four core subject areas: math, English language arts, science and social studies. Authors can search by academic standard, grade, or subject and item type to identify just the right resource. Districts can add previously created digital content to their library as well.
Curriculum Foundry integrates with a variety of learning platforms, including Canvas, Schoology, Google and others. Additionally, it will soon feature robust assessment authoring functionality, providing schools and districts with a complete curriculum and assessment management solution not tied to one specific learning platform.
“Once again this year, the ‘Tech & Learning’ judges examined hundreds of entries to select those products that were deemed worthy of our 2016 Award of Excellence. This wasn’t just checking off spec sheets and surfing other people’s reviews. Each product was handled and scored individually. Not an easy task,” said Kevin Hogan, editorial director for NewBay Media’s Tech & Learning Group.
