TAMPA, FL (PRWEB) October 19, 2016 -- Florida Hospital Physician Group (FHPG) is proud to welcome Iswanto Sucandy, MD, to the Southeastern Center for Digestive Disorders & Pancreatic Cancer, Advanced Minimally Invasive & Robotic Surgery. Dr. Sucandy is a highly skilled, board certified, advanced GI Surgeon specializing in the surgical treatment of pancreatic, biliary and liver disorders.
Dr. Sucandy completed his residency in General Surgery at Jefferson Health-Abington Hospital in Pennsylvania. He then completed a fellowship in Minimally Invasive Surgery at Yale University School of Medicine. He completed a second surgical fellowship in Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Dr. Sucandy specializes in the treatment of pancreatic, biliary and liver cancers. He’s a member of the American College of Surgeons (ACS) and American Board of Surgery (ABS). He is also a member International Hepato-Pancreato Biliary Association and Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons.
As the newest surgeon to join the Foregut and HPB practice in the Southeastern Center for Digestive Disorders & Pancreatic Cancer, Advanced Minimally Invasive & Robotic Surgery with Dr. Alexander Rosemurgy and Dr. Sharona B. Ross; Dr. Sucandy will work in collaboration with fellow FHPG physicians within the comprehensive and multidisciplinary team at the Digestive Health Institute (DHI). DHI includes Dr. Allen Chudzinski with the Advanced Center for Colorectal Surgery, as well as Dr. Michael Harris, Dr. Arthi Sanjeevi and Dr. Yasser Saloum with the Digestive Care Center, all located at Florida Hospital Tampa. The FHPG team of GI surgeons and hepatologists provide the highest levels of expertise diagnosing and treating primary and metastatic liver cancers, including fibrolamellar-hepatocellular carcinoma and cholangiocarcinoma.
