Auburn, WA (PRWEB) October 21, 2016
Blood Bank Computer Systems, Inc. (BBCS) today announced a new partnership with Community Blood Center of the Ozarks (CBCO). CBCO will be implementing the ABO Suite of products, provided by BBCS, to improve their donor experience and overall operations at each of their facilities. CBCO provides blood and blood products to hospitals throughout Southwest Missouri, Northwest Arkansas and Southeast Kansas. They draw 60,000 units annually from their 4 blood center locations and various mobile drives.
Using ABO Suite, donors will be able to answer the Donor History Questionnaires online at home, reducing their time spent at the blood center. Additionally, ABO Suite will modernize the blood component lab, distributions, billing and other operational departments at CBCO.
“BBCS has a well-documented history of success working with blood centers to implement and upgrade their blood establishment computer systems. Their reputation of great products and over the top commitment to client satisfaction made them a clear choice for our organization as we move to modernize our operations,” says Anthony Roberts, Executive Director of Community Blood Center of the Ozarks.
BBCS will be providing Implementation Services throughout the project to ensure timelines are met and the guidelines set forth in the FDA Code of Federal Regulations are followed throughout the migration to ABO Suite.
“BBCS is thrilled to be chosen as the BECS partner of the future for Community Blood Center of the Ozarks. We are looking forward to adding another strong voice that is committed to the future of blood banking, to our table for our annual CEO Summit in February. The addition of CBCO expands our client base with Alliance for Community Transfusion (ACTS) and moves all of our clients who are Blood Center of America (BCA) members closer to achieving financial savings. We are honored to have CBCO join our growing family,” says Beth Simon, CEO of BBCS.
CBCO joins SunCoast Community Blood Center as the second U.S. based community blood center to purchase ABO Suite through Blood Centers of America (BCA) since a partnership with BCA and BBCS was announced earlier this year. This partnership, geared at growing the BBCS user base, provides financial incentives to BCA members new to BBCS as well as synergies across all BBCS users.
