Boo Fest Phoenix Set to Entertain More Than 6,000 on October 22nd
Phoenix, Arizona (PRWEB) October 21, 2016 -- Boo Fest Phoenix is an annual Halloween event, which started in 2004. Over the past 12 years the event has grown to become one of North Phoenix’s signature festivals in the fall. This year they anticipate attendance to top out at more than 6,000 kids and their families.
Hosted by the City of Phoenix Parks & Recreation Department, the event will be held at the Paseo Highlands Park & Beuf Community Center located on Pinnacle Peak Road and 35th Avenue on Saturday, October 22, 2016, from 6 pm to 9 pm.
eCreations, a Phoenix-based web development firm, has been a corporate sponsor of the event for the past eight years.
“In 2008 eCreations stepped up to be a primary sponsor of Boo Fest,” explains Dave Adams, Recreation Coordinator for the City of Phoenix Parks & Recreation Department. “From that year on not only has eCreations played a significant role in helping us produce the event, but also other sponsors have come on board. In fact, this year we have nine terrific sponsors and have added so many more fun activities to our event as a result.”
Steve Tamulewicz, eCreations’ founder, has been a youth basketball coach at the Beuf Community Center for more than 10 years. “I have a soft spot in my heart for kids and felt the need to be a part of this great event. It’s my way giving back to the community,” said Tamulewicz. “I’m fortunate my company has been able to be an event sponsor each year, as well as help Emily’s Toys 4 Joy raise money to support their mission.”
Boo Fest also helps to raise money for a local non-profit, benefiting kids who are in extended hospital care. For every Fast Pass sold during the event, eCreations will make a donation to Emily’s Toys 4 Joy. Fast Passes let you skip the lines for rides and activities. Additionally, when you purchase four Fast Passes, you get a commemorative Boo Fest T-shirt.
The event has grown in large part due to support and sponsorships from local businesses. This year Walmart is generously donating all the candy for the event. Other sponsors include, Arizona Sports Complex, Allstate Insurance, Deer Valley Dental Group, Humble Pie, Crosspoint Baptist Church, Mosaic and the Allen School of Health Sciences.
Food Truck Alley will have more than ten food trucks from which you can buy sweet treats, burgers, pizza, chicken and waffles, and so much more.
The event is free to the public and fun for the entire family. Kids and parents can enjoy live music, carnival games, hayrides, pumpkin maze, costume parade, climbing wall, inflatable bouncers, and a haunted train.
