LDF Construction’s Registration Has Been Approved in the United States Government System for Award Management (SAM)
Lac du Flambeau, WI (PRWEB) October 28, 2016 -- LDF Construction registered to do business with the Federal Government via the System for Award Management at http://www.sam.gov, and the registration has been approved.
Robert J. M. Elm, President of LDF Construction, said “This registration is an administrative step, but an important one towards allowing LDF Construction to do business with the Federal Government. We are now identified as a company that can enter into federal contracts.”
Part of the successful registration process involved LDF Construction obtaining a Dun & Bradstreet, or D-U-N-S, Number, a unique nine-digit identification code used to identify each physical location of a business. LDF Construction also received a Commercial and Government Entity Code—the so-called CAGE Code. This unique identifier is assigned to suppliers to various government or defense agencies. “The next step is completing the steps necessary to be certified to participate in the 8(a) Business Development Program,” said Elm. “It’s a powerful tool that will enable LDF Construction to compete and win federal contracts, and we anticipate having the application process completed by the end of October 2016.”
Brent McFarland, President and CEO of the LDF Business Development Corporation that oversees LDF Construction said, “It will be a matter of at least a couple of months before the certification process will be complete—perhaps longer. But we expect 2017 to be really exciting with the possibility of some federal jobs being earned by our 100% Tribal, 100% on-time and under-budget powerhouse!”
