Get fit, have fun and make a difference for children’s health with the Alliance for a Healthier Generation

The Alliance for a Healthier Generation is excited to announce its spring 2017 season of endurance events for Team Healthier Generation. Team Healthier Generation is a fundraising team for athletes—and the Alliance believes everyone is an athlete.

Team Healthier Generation is a national team that anyone, anywhere around the country can join, enjoy the virtual community, and fuel the movement to help children thrive. Team Healthier Generation spring 2017 events include:

Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend, Orlando, FL, February 24-26, 2017
presented by Children’s Miracle Network 5K, 10K and Half Marathon
Here's the chance to join the Disney princesses in a "dream come true" weekend of majestic runs in the most magical place on earth. It's all happening during the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend and girls and women of all ages are invited to join the royal celebration! There will be magical course surprises, special Princess events, and a fun-filled party after the event to celebrate the run. This event is SOLD OUT and participants can only gain entrance through a charity spot.

Big Sur International Marathon, Carmel, CA, April 30, 2017
The Big Sur Marathon is 26.2 miles of the most beautiful coastline in the world. Named "Best Marathon in North America" by The Ultimate Guide to Marathons, the Big Sur International Marathon continues to sell out earlier and earlier each year and, as a major destination marathon, draws entrants from all over the world. On their way from Big Sur to Carmel's Rio Road, runners wind through majestic redwoods and past Pacific Ocean views. Bay to Breakers 12K, San Francisco, CA, May 21, 2017
Bay to Breakers is a race built by the people. Since 1912, over 1.8 million costumed runners, walkers and centipedes have completed the iconic 12K journey from the San Francisco Bay to the breakers on Ocean Beach. The Alliance for a Healthier Generation is an official benefiting charity of this unique and exciting race.

Choose An Event
Team Healthier Generation isn’t limited to just the events on the Alliance's race calendar. Team members can compete in any athletic event from a neighborhood 5K to a cross-country bike ride with support, training expertise, and fundraising tools provided by the Alliance.

Create A Fundraiser
For those interested in being part of Team Healthier Generation without participating in an athletic event, there is the option to receive fundraising support for any type of fundraising event, from parties and galas to trivia night or a healthy food sale.

“My wife and I joined Team Healthier Generation to support a worthy cause while running with a fun group of like minded supporters committed to raising awareness and funds for children’s heath,” said Scott Curran, a team member running the Disney Wine and Dine Half Marathon with Team Healthier Generation.
