Brake Pads and Shoes
Raybestos Professional Grade brake pads feature friction materials that match the original equipment pads. Pads with semi-metallic friction material offer less noise and a smooth, quiet ride. Pads with ceramic friction material provide maximum stopping power with low levels of brake dust. Other features include:
- Improved pedal feel and responsiveness
- Steel plate mechanical attachment for strength
- Stamped or shaved backing plate permits proper movement plus reduced noise, wear and pulsation
- Premium attached shims for unrivaled noise dampening and durability
- OEM-style slots and chamfers reduce noise, vibration and harshness
Summit Racing also carries Professional Grade drum brake shoes. The severe-duty shoes feature application-specific friction materials for performance and long life; new steel backings for correct shoe to drum contact; and premium dipped coating for corrosion resistance. Installation hardware is included.
Rotors and Drums
Professional Grade brake rotors are made from OE-matched materials for structural integrity and maximum service life. They have 0.004” or less lateral runout and a thickness tolerance of less than 0.0005”. That reduces pedal pulsation and brake noise, and extends pad life. Mill-balanced edges ensures proper balance and minimizes vibration.
Professional Grade brake drums are made from OE-matched materials and are thoroughly inspected for proper balance, smooth operation, and noise reduction.
Disc Brake Calipers
Professional Grade calipers are available with pads or without. Either way, the calipers come fully assembled with new bleeder screws, copper sealing washers, hardware and mounting brackets. Slide areas are lubricated with corrosion-resistant synthetic lube to ensure safe, leak-free operation, and all rubber components are made from heat-resistant EPDM rubber.
Summit Racing also carries Raybestos Professional Grade wheel cylinders, master cylinders, hardware kits, brake pad wear sensors, and bleeder screws.
