PRECO Electronics Demonstrates PreView Sentry at the iP Utility Safety Conference and Expo
Boise, Idaho and Glendale, Arizona (PRWEB) November 01, 2016 -- PRECO Electronics, the global leader in heavy-duty vehicle collision mitigation technology, today announced its participation in the iP Utility Safety Conference and Expo(November 1-3). Held in Glendale, Arizona, the conference, hosted by Incident Prevention Magazine, is the premier education event for safety, training and operation professionals within the utility market.
Located at booth #201, PRECO will demonstrate its recently announced PreView Sentry™, the industry’s most advanced and flexible object detection solution. PRECO will showcase PreView Sentry, PreView Plus™ camera/monitor vision system, and the PreView Wireless WorkSight™ object detection system all designed to meet the challenges of the utility market and its operators. Each of these solutions illustrates the power and ease that utilities can quickly adopt and deploy object detection to further ensure the safety of its operators.
“The flexibility and ruggedness of PreView Sentry is critical to the utility market,” said Tom Loutzenheiser (@TomLoutz), vice president of marketing and business development at PRECO Electronics. “Sentry can be configured to work with virtually any vehicle. Sentry’s flexibility, reliability and ruggedness provides customers with the confidence that once a PRECO solution is mounted on a vehicle, it creates a safer working environment for people and property operating in and around utility equipment.”
PreView Sentry has a fully adjustable detection zone, with the ability to detect objects from the face of the radar up to 30 meters (98 feet), and the width of the detection zone is adjustable to fit almost all vehicle types. Sentry accurately identifies the location and velocity of up to 16 people or objects simultaneously and is designed to withstand the harsh environments encountered in the utility industry. With built-in failsafe alerts that notify the operator of radar blockage or communication issues, operators and fleet managers can be sure that they are working with the most reliable object detection system available.
In conjunction with today’s announcement, PRECO recently announced that it is accepting nominations for the 2016 Safety in Motion award. Kim Hodges of Montana-Dakota Utilities was the recipient of last year's Safety in Motion Award. Mr. Hodges was recognized for his individual commitment to address the needs of his operators and his proactive vision to expand their safety program.
The deadline to nominate a candidate is Friday, December 30, 2016. An official call for nominations will be sent out via email to key contacts in heavy-duty vehicle industries. To ensure your email is included in this notification, please email Tamara Humpherys at [email protected] with contact information.
