Rock West Composites Rolls Out Three New Offerings
SALT LAKE CITY, UT (PRWEB) November 03, 2016 -- Rock West Composites, the Utah unit of a San Diego, California-based composites company, announced it is rolling out three branded product platforms as the initial wave of an overall strategy to re-position itself as a more diversified engineering and manufacturing company. Dave Erickson, Rock West Composites’ VP / General Manager, made the announcement at the company’s South Jordan (UT) facility.
The three product systems included in the announcement are INFINITube telescoping tubing, CARBONNect composite connector system and PROPreg composite prepreg materials.
Over the past seven years, Rock West Composites has evolved from a manufacturing company to a manufacturing / engineering and distribution company. These three product lines represent the next phase in that evolution: to further enhance and grow the distribution side of the business with innovative new product ideas designed to energize the market and differentiate RWC as a company with a product/service offering that is deeper, broader and more customer-focused than anything currently offered by competitors.
According to Erickson, “Our goal to strategically differentiate Rock West Composites has a far greater potential for success when we offer our customers not just products, but product platforms: from engineering and manufacturing, to distribution, service and support."
At its inception in 2009, Rock West Composites was established as the manufacturing division of San Diego-based Rock West, LLC. RWC was (and is) one of two strategic business units that operate under the corporate Rock West brand. The second SBU is a San Diego facility that focuses on analyzing, engineering, prototyping and testing new designs that address specific technological challenges through the use of advanced materials. Over the past seven years, the Rock West Composites facility in Utah has added distribution of stock products to its revenue base, including bought-in products and supplies sold over the Internet.
