The Style Club Wins Big on ABC’s Shark Tank
New York, NY (PRWEB) November 09, 2016 -- The Style Club CEO Hilary Novelle Hahn took her cult fashion brand to ABC’s Shark Tank on November 4th, garnering two offers from the sharks and ultimately securing a $500,000 investment for 22% equity from Mark Cuban.
Hahn showcased two of The Style Club’s collections: The Love Club, a throwback line inspired by John Lennon, and their popular Babe collection, comprised of trendy bomber jackets and baseball caps. The presentation paid off with two offers from the sharks.
With this new investment, Hahn plans to focus on building more collections to further expand The Style Club as well as launching a video shopping app to appeal to the brand’s digital-focused market.
“We’re excited to be working with Mark Cuban. I admire his work and we share the same home town, Pittsburgh,” Hahn said. “With the new investment, we really want to focus on our direct business and building out our app. Starting in December, Urban Outfitters will be carrying two more of our collections and we plan to grow our relationship with Nordstrom.”
Also interested in backing the The Style Club was Daymond John who offered $500,000 in exchange for 33.3% equity, but Hahn ultimately went with Cuban.
The Style Club is known for creating flash sale, limited edition capsule collections with young Hollywood starlets, including Sophie Tweed Simmons, model and daughter of Kiss bassist Gene Simmons, and Disney alum G Hannelius. The brand has already garnered the attention of top bloggers and celebrities such as Vanessa Hudgens, Bethany Mota, and even Justin Bieber.
Their collections are currently sold on TheStyleClub.com with exclusive styles available at Urban Outfitters and Nordstrom. Prices range from $12 to $88.
