Clarion Safety Systems Receives Certification For Latest Edition Of Quality Management Systems Standard, ISO 9001:2015
Milford, PA (PRWEB) November 15, 2016 -- Clarion Safety Systems, a leading designer and manufacturer of safety labels and safety signs, is pleased to announce that it has received its ISO 9001:2015 certification.
ISO 9001, ISO’s flagship quality management systems standard, helps organizations demonstrate to customers that they can offer products and services of consistently high quality. It also acts as a tool to streamline their processes and make them more efficient at what they do. ISO 9001 registration is confirmation of a company’s longstanding commitment to continually improving quality management systems to ensure customer satisfaction.
The ISO 9001 quality management systems designation covers Clarion's design, manufacture and distribution of visual safety system solutions (including but not limited to safety labels, nameplates, signs and markings) for national and global markets.
“Clarion takes great pride in being ISO certified. Since 2008, our compliance certification has been continually updated and reaffirmed through the services of BSI Management Systems America, Inc.,” says Geoffrey Peckham, CEO of Clarion Safety Systems.
The latest edition of the standard, ISO 9001:2015, was published in September 2015, and allows organizations up to three years to migrate to the new version.
“Because of our commitment to our customers and to today’s best practice standards for safety and quality, it was important for Clarion to be on the leading-edge of being certified to the newly revised 2015 version of ISO 9001. We’re proud of the fact that we were the very first company that our BSI auditor transitioned to the new ISO 9001 standard.”
Certification for ISO 9001 involves rigorous auditing and improvement of business processes. Receiving certification to the latest version of ISO 9001 helps to ensure the highest quality products. But in addition, it helps Clarion achieve what’s most important to the company: meeting and exceeding customer expectations in every aspect of its work – from initial sign or label design to production and delivery.
To maintain its ISO certification, Clarion conducts internal audits twice per year, as well as two external audits each year. To prepare for ISO 9001:2015 certification, the company’s staff underwent additional training and internal auditor programs beginning in November 2015, just two months after the revised standard was published. Clarion then began the process of planning for and implementing the changes necessary to comply with the 2015 version of the 9001 standard. Its external audit to transition to ISO 9001:2015 took place in September 2016, with the company successfully transitioning with 100 percent compliance on all ISO 9001-2015 audit clauses.
“What this means in practical terms for our customers is that they can trust that when they’re working with Clarion, they’re working with a top notch organization that’s committed to making sure its customers are pleased with its products and services,” says Peckham.
“Our key performance indicators routinely show incredibly high rates of customer satisfaction with the quality of our products, services and delivery. We take great pride in this fact – that we serve our customers very, very well.”
According to BSI, this is the first major revision to the ISO 9001 standard since 2000. The new version was written with today’s business challenges in mind – taking into account today’s dynamic and globally interconnected world. The updates in the 2015 version of ISO 9001 make the standard flexible enough to offer multiple benefits to organizations as a quality management tool and as a framework for business and customer satisfaction improvement. Key changes and benefits of the new standard include: easier integration with other management systems and business strategies; greater involvement in the management system of leadership team; and the introduction of risk in one of its clauses.
