Dr. Firestone Earns Top Doc Award for 10th Consecutive Year
Scottsdale, Arizona (PRWEB) November 23, 2016 -- Since 1995, Phoenix Magazine has dedicated a monthly issue to listing the top healthcare providers in their particular specialty. This listing is determined by a vote process where ballots are distributed among the Phoenix Valley medical community. This issue has become one of the most popular of the year.
The magazine, which annually announces it’s listing in January, named Dr. Theodore Firestone of The Joint Replacement Center of Scottsdale as one of the top orthopedic surgeons in the Valley. That listing marks the 10th consecutive year that Dr. Firestone has earned that recognition.
“It’s always nice to be included in the Phoenix Magazine Top Doc Award issue,” said Dr. Firestone. “It’s hard to believe it has been 10 years in a row. Having the local community of doctors voting for me makes this recognition much more special.”
The process used for awarding doctors is based on peer-reviews. Phoenix Magazine obtains a list of all the physicians throughout the Valley, then randomly mails surveys to over 5,000 doctors to nominate their peers in 50 specialization categories. Once all of the nomination votes are received, the magazine tallies up the votes to determine the winners in each of the categories.
Dr. Firestone is well recognized throughout the United States and Canada for his reputation in providing minimally invasive knee replacement and state of the art hip replacement surgery. Additionally Dr. Firestone was also featured on the Emmy Award-winning show “The Latest Procedure – Anterior Total Hip Replacement Surgery”, which airs on Arizona PBS website. This show provides viewers with a behind-the-scenes look at what takes place in and out of the operating room.
Dr. Firestone and his expert team see patients at Grayhawk Medical Plaza office at 20401 N. 73rd St., Suite 160 in Scottsdale, Arizona. He performs inpatient surgery at Thompson Peak Medical Center and outpatient surgery for select patients at the North Valley Surgery Center.
