BTCC Launches Bitcoin Chips — “Fun, Affordable Collectibles for Bitcoin Enthusiasts”
Shanghai (PRWEB) November 21, 2016 -- BTCC today launched Bitcoin Chips, a new set of fun and affordable bitcoin collectibles. Bitcoin Chips come in six denominations that range from 1,000 bits (0.001 bitcoins, roughly $0.70) to 500,000 bits (0.5 bitcoins, roughly $356.10).
Customers can order the chips in configurations of one to a few chips each, or in bulk rolls of 20 chips each. Uniquely, for poker fans, Bitcoin Chips are available in customizable poker chip sets of 200 chips each.
Another notable Bitcoin Chip product is the Six Color Signature Set. The Set consists of one chip from each Bitcoin Chip denomination adding up to six chips, with matching serial numbers.
“Bitcoin Chips are attractive, durable collectibles that are perfect for introducing your friends and relatives to bitcoin, or starting your own physical bitcoin collection,” said Bobby Lee, BTCC’s chief executive officer. “We made Bitcoin Chips to make bitcoin accessible to everyone by presenting it in physical form.”
A highlight of Bitcoin Chips is their premium design, which was refined over the course of a year. The design of the chips contains detail from the outer part of the BTCC flower logo interspersed with the bitcoin symbol. Together, the logo and the symbol represent BTCC’s belief in the continued ascendancy of bitcoin and BTCC’s mission to become the go-to bitcoin service provider in a world in which everyone uses bitcoins.
“We designed our Bitcoin Chips with two aims: to match the highest-quality casino chips and to make fun, affordable collectibles for bitcoin enthusiasts,” said BTCC’s chief operating officer Samson Mow. “The result is colorful casino-quality chips with a luxurious satin finish that anyone with a few millibitcoins can buy.”
Bitcoin Chips also feature strong security and anti-counterfeiting features, giving customers peace of mind that their investment is secure and genuine.
“Bitcoin Chips take BTCC Mint’s reputation of producing stylish collectibles with ironclad security to another level,” said BTCC’s chief technology officer Mikael Wang. “These new collectibles include a host of new security and anti-counterfeiting measures, including ultra-fine scroll on the obverse inlay and lettering made with ultraviolet light-visible ink.”
Bitcoin Chips were also designed with customer convenience in mind. Underneath the hologram sticker on the reverse of each chip is a polyester round that has a private key with its QR code, which can be scanned to import each chip’s bitcoins into any online wallet that supports the bitcoin private key format.
About Bitcoin Chips
Bitcoin Chips are BTCC Mint’s fifth series of bitcoin collectibles. Bitcoin Chips are premium, durable bitcoin poker chips, which are 39 millimeters wide and weigh 13 grams each. The weight and careful crafting of the chips gives them a solid grip and sure feel in the hand.
Bitcoin Chips are made from a premium composite, and come in six different denominations, each with a unique color:
1. Purple - The 500K-bit (0.5 bitcoin) Bitcoin Chip
2. Black - The 100K-bit (0.1 bitcoin) Bitcoin Chip
3. Green - The 25K-bit (0.025 bitcoin) Bitcoin Chip
4. Blue - The 10K-bit (0.01 bitcoin) Bitcoin Chip
5. Red - The 5K-bit (0.005 bitcoin) Bitcoin Chip
6. White - The 1K-bit (0.001 bitcoin) Bitcoin Chip
BTCC created Bitcoin Chips with security in mind. Security features on the chips include multi-colored edges with alternating colors; ultra-fine scroll on the obverse inlay; a reverse inlay consisting of hologram paper with microprint; and a multi-pattern hologram design consisting of dot, lava, rainbow, and pillar-of-light patterns.
The obverse inlay of each chip contains the bitcoin denomination of the chip in ultraviolet light-visible ink. The hologram sticker that acts as the reverse inlay is also tamper-evident, leaving a honeycomb pattern if peeled even slightly.
The rims on both sides of the chips contains outlines of the edges of the BTCC flower logo with the bitcoin symbol between, and superimposed on, the petals of the logo.
The obverse of the chip also contains the phrase “IN CRYPTO WE TRUST” and other lettering. The reverse of the chips also contains a window that allows customers to see the chip’s serial number and part of the chip’s public address.
Customers can view their chip’s full public address by entering three or more characters from the partial public address on the BTCC Mint Coin Lookup page: https://mint.btcc.com/lookup.
