Ashurst to Highlight Deal-Related Legal Issues Arising Out of Digitalisation at TMT Finance World Congress 2016
London (PRWEB UK) 28 November 2016 -- Nick Elverston, the new Head of the Digital Economy Group at leading international law firm, Ashurst, will give a keynote speech highlighting the latest deal-related legal issues arising out of digitalisation at the TMT Finance World Congress 2016 in London on November 30th.
Over 300 senior executives from the telecoms, media and tech industry, investment banking and advisory are attending the two day Congress which assesses new digital investment strategies globally.
“The answer to the increasingly impatient demands from the highest levels of most corporates to "do something about digital” isn’t, or rather shouldn’t be, just about random deployment of clever technology, or the simple use of more computing power,” said Elverston. “There is something more fundamental at play – which I believe affects the way deals are going… It is the new business models enabled by the connectivity, technology and volumes of data that really create the change and lead to fundamental disruption.”
Elverston will also chair the Digital World Panel at the event featuring Digital Leaders from Orange Digital Ventures, Ringier, Swisscom and EY, discussing their digital investment strategies. Other key sessions at the event include The TMT Europe Leadership Panel hosted by Accenture and featuring C-level executives from Liberty Global, Altice Group, Telia, VimpleCom and KPN; the TMT World Leadership Panel featuring leaders from Axiata, Safaricom, PTCL, O3B Networks, Lyca Mobile and the Enterprise Cloud Panel hosted by EY and featuring Leaders from BT Global, Adapt, Telstra and Jeffries.
Over 30 sessions will take place across the two days tackling different areas of investment strategy across telecoms, media and tech, with the TMT Finance World Awards presented in the evening of November 30.
Other companies represented by speakers at the event, which is organised by TMT Finance, include Vodafone, Axiata, Sky, Etisalat, Cellnex, Channel 4, Modern Times Group, EE, Numericable SFR, IHS Towers, edotoco Group, Helios Towers Africa, Digital Bridge, INWIT, Credit Suisse, Six Degrees Group, Leosat, CityFibre, Next Generation Data, KKR, ABRY Partners, Goldman Sachs, Citi, BNP Paribas, IFC World Bank, European Investment Bank, Societe Generale, UBS, Nomura, AMC Networks, The Guardian, Deezer, Jagex, Zoomin.tv., Eleven Sports Networks, MediaMonks, Freeview, BBC and more.
