Traverse City Tourism Hires Beth Hobbs as new group Sales Manager
Traverse City, MI (PRWEB) April 13, 2017 -- Traverse City Tourism has announced the appointment of Beth Hobbs as its new group Sales Manager. She will be joining the organization on April 24.
Currently with the Wyndham Grand Chicago Riverfront Hotel, where she has worked as a Business Travel Sales Manager and an Executive Meeting Manager since late 2014, she majored in Hospitality Service Administration and Human Resources Management at Central Michigan University.
“We’re very excited to be able to welcome such a talented person to our sales team, and we look forward to Beth’s many successes in the group sales world,” said Tori Piersante, Traverse City Tourism’s vice president for sales.
Ms. Hobbs’s responsibilities will include corporate, state association and sports clients, as well as the social, military, education, religious and fraternal market for all of Michigan outside the Lansing capital area. The new position marks a return to her beginnings, since her first position after college was in the sales department of Traverse City’s largest resort property, the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa.
“Traverse City is where my hospitality career started, and therefore holds a special place in my heart,” she said.
Organized in 1981 as the Traverse City Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, Traverse City Tourism (TCT) is a nonprofit corporation that serves as the area’s official destination marketing organization. Its focused mission is to stimulate economic growth through the attraction of convention business and leisure tourism development.
