Association For Creative Industries Advocates Creative Community at Craftcation
Elmwood Park, NJ (PRWEB) April 26, 2017 -- The Association For Creative Industries (AFCI) announces its sponsorship of Craftcation, an annual four-day business and makers conference featuring industry professionals leading attendees in hands-on food and craft workshops, and lectures and panels on creative business. AFCI is sponsoring “Better Together: Building a Community,” a panel discussion, and the Pre-Craftcation Party. Craftcation will take place April 27-30, 2017 at the Ventura Beach Marriott in Ventura, California.
“Better Together: Building a Community” will discuss how attendees can find a community of like-minded friends, foster collaborations, leverage each other’s success, and grow and engage their audiences. Jason Baum, AFCI’s Director of Membership, will sit on the panel and share the benefits of joining an association and how AFCI’s Chapters and Sections are proven models. Baum has worked at AFCI for several years and has over 11 years of experience in association management. The panel will occur on April 28 at 4pm.
“Over the past year, AFCI has made enormous strides to support creative entrepreneurs by introducing our Start-Up Membership and forming new programs at Creativation, our annual trade event, that help their businesses thrive,” said Baum. “We’re excited to sponsor Craftcation and meet and engage with the attendees. We look forward to showcasing AFCI’s creative community as a place where they can find additional industry connections and business success.”
The Pre-Craftcation Party will kick off the event on April 26 at 6pm, the evening before Craftcation begins, offering attendees an evening of networking, fun, snacks and drinks. Also, AFCI Member Rina Gonzales of Mothership Scrapbook Gal, founder of the “Crafty Happy Hour,” will do make-n-takes using products provided by Ellison and Kunin Felt Group.
AFCI will also have a table where attendees can get more information about AFCI’s global community of creative businesses and participate in a drawing to win a free one year membership.
Craftcation is organized by Dear Handmade Life, a blog that provides education and events to empower creative individuals to do what they love. The event is sold out, but those interested in attending may be able to obtain a ticket from individuals who purchased tickets but can no longer attend.
