Recipients of 2017 NACHA Payments Awards Named at PAYMENTS 2017
AUSTIN, Texas (PRWEB) April 25, 2017 -- NACHA—The Electronic Payments Association® today announced the recipients of its 2017 NACHA Payments Awards, which celebrate proven accomplishment and leadership in the payments industry and recognize and reward the payments innovations defining the future. The Payments Awards include the NACHA Excellence in Payments Award and the NACHA Challenge Awards.
The award winners were recognized during the NACHA 2017 Payments Awards Luncheon, sponsored by TD Bank, during PAYMENTS 2017. The conference, which is the definitive destination for faster payments education, is being held now through April 26 at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas.
The NACHA Excellence in Payments Award
The NACHA Excellence in Payments Award honors an individual or organization that has shown superior leadership and accomplishment in the development, implementation or advancement of domestic or international electronic payments.
Presented to:
- Earthport, which plays a pivotal role in facilitating high volumes of lower value cross-border payments for banks and businesses, providing them with a more cost-efficient, transparent and reliable solution for managing payments internationally.
All payments industry participants were given the opportunity to vote for the winner online from a pool of finalists.
The NACHA Challenge
In 2017, the NACHA Challenge Awards reward a team or group of individuals for developing new ways to leverage Same Day ACH to create innovative solutions to improve efficiencies and added capabilities within the payments system. Three finalist teams presented their proposals during PAYMENTS 2017 in Austin on Monday, April 24, to compete for up to $25,000 in prize money.
The Judges’ Choice Award ($15,000)
Presented to:
- Team lienwaivers.io for its DIY Same Day ACH solution, which is a cloud-based SaaS application that enables business owners to easily deploy Same Day ACH through their existing bank portal. Proposal submitted by lienwaivers.io.
The Audience Choice Award ($10,000)
Presented to:
- Team KeyCorp for its ACH Syndication solution, which would create a single, simple point for large ACH Originators to fully utilize the benefits of Same Day ACH, through a single point of access, funds consolidation, and reporting. Proposal submitted by KeyBank.
Team lienwaivers.io was selected by a panel of judges drawn from across the NACHA family of organizations comprising the Payments Innovation Alliance, Direct Membership of NACHA, the Board of Directors, the Board Advisory Group and the PAYMENTS 2017 Conference Planning Committee. PAYMENTS 2017 attendees voted Team KeyCorp as the winner of the Audience Choice prize.
