Greenberg Traurig, P.A. Miami Shareholder Ian M. Ross has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Miami-Dade Urban Debate League. The Miami-Dade Urban Debate League is a non-profit organization that partners with the Miami-Dade School District and the National Association for Urban Debate Leagues to promote and support academic debate teams in Miami’s public schools.
“I am excited to serve on the board of this vitally important organization as it continues to expand its reach in Miami,” said Ross, who is a member of Greenberg Traurig’s Litigation Practice Group. “Research has shown that academic debate and competition boosts grades, improves graduation rates, and encourages college attendance. I look forward to working with the board to help bring new opportunities for participation in academic debate to Miami’s public schools.”

He also has represented clients in connection with investigations by the Securities and Exchange Commission, Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, and the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board.
