NC Outer Banks Soundside Live Sunset Concert Series Announced
Nags Head, NC (PRWEB) May 03, 2017 -- The Soundside Live Sunset Concert Series, provided by the Outer Banks Visitors Bureau, debuts on May 25th, followed by performances on June 1st and 8th. The three consecutive Thursdays schedule promises a music, cultural and visual immersion on the OBX. "Visitors and residents alike are going to be blown away," assures Lee Nettles, Executive Director. "The experience we hope to provide goes beyond the imaginative roster of different live bands for each of the three performance dates. Everywhere you look, there will be cirque-style theatrics with aerial arts, acrobatics, fire and flow arts, and dance." The popular Soundside Live event site on the Roanoke Sound in Nags Head is home to the series which features a curated lineup of national and regional touring talent playing an eclectic mix of rock and roll, blues, soul, funk and bluegrass.
Produced locally by Bearded Face Productions, admission will be free and optional onsite parking $10. Gates open at 3pm for all shows. Beverage partners Mother Earth Brewing from Kinston, NC and Sanctuary Vineyards of Currituck, NC will be onsite to service thirst, and hungry concert patrons will have lots of local cuisine options from some of the most well-known restaurants on the Outer Banks. In addition, a few OBX artisan vendors will be onsite selling handcrafted goods. A portion of the proceeds will benefit The Mustang Outreach Program, supplementing cultural arts education in the Dare and Currituck County schools with world class music performances, residencies and mentoring programs. "The 10-acre Soundside Live site is the perfect place to catch a spectacular sunset," explains Nettles. "Combine that with great music, food, drink and visual performers and we believe guests and locals are in for something unforgettable."
The 2017 Lineup:
Thurs, May 25: Red Wanting Blue, The Commonheart & Tropidelic
