Julie Quaid, a Family Law Attorney with the Dallas, Texas based law firm of Quaid Farish LLC, has recently been elected to serve on the Board of Trustees for Collaborative Divorce Texas. Collaborative Divorce Texas (CDT) is a statewide organization of attorneys, mental health and financial professionals that are dedicated to helping couples and families resolve their divorce and child custody issues in a less destructive way than the traditional divorce litigation process. As a member of the board of trustees for Collaborative Divorce Texas, she will help guide the organization’s mission of providing value to its members through training, education and other resources and promoting collaborative divorce as the preferred method of divorce in Texas.
After becoming trained in the collaborative divorce process, Julie says that “I knew I had found a way to really help families who were in the throes of a family crisis and that the collaborative process would protect their privacy and their family relationships as they moved through a divorce. I am truly honored to have been selected by my peers to be a part of leading this outstanding organization.”
Julie Quaid’s office provides divorce services in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. She is a graduate of Austin College in Sherman, Texas and Southern Methodist University School of Law. In addition to being a member of Collaborative Divorce Texas, she is a member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, Collaborative Divorce Dallas, American Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas where she is currently serving as Chair of the Collaborative Law Section, Dallas Bar Association where she is past Chair of its Collaborative Law Section, Collin County Bar Association, Denton County Bar Association, Texas Center for Legal Ethics and Professionalism, and The Association of Family and Conciliation Courts. Julie has been selected to the Super Lawyer list as well as recognized by Best Lawyers in America® for many years. She was recently named 2017 Collaborative Law: Family Law, “Lawyer of the Year” in Dallas by Best Lawyers.
