Release of Bread B-Line allows entrepreneurs rapid prototyping of end-to-end IoT products within a day

Breadware Inc., a leader in rapidly built Internet of Things (IoT) solutions, today announced the release of Bread™B-Line, a comprehensive and unique platform that enables entrepreneurs to build end-to-end internet connected electronics within a day.

Bread™B-Line kits deliver a customizable suite of tools to expedite the design, validation and prototyping of dynamic IoT products. The platform includes all capabilities necessary for rapid prototyping, including hardware, software, firmware, cloud services and mobile app.

“The B-Line makes product development both accessible and affordable by consolidating multiple layers of IoT,” said Daniel Price, co-founder and CEO of Breadware Inc. “By utilizing many capabilities in one platform, entrepreneurs will no longer require the expertise usually provided by entire teams to develop and test products.”

The hardware line [Bread™B-Line] includes the Mega-B Bread™Board, which can host 13 sensor modules, and the Nano-B Bread™Board, which hosts a single module. Bread™Boards are built on Arduino microprocessor boards and preserve the Arduino legacy of open-source hardware. The prototyping kit features a variety of environmental sensors, motion sensors, displays and input/output interfaces. The kit includes access to the Breadware Cloud IDE (Integrated Development Environment) which comprises a Firmware Code Editor, a Mobile App Builder, and a Data Dashboard.

“Our goal is to help people save time and money on product development, and to get the valuable feedback from their prospective customers before they spend the high upfront costs associated with custom electronics design,” said Daniel deLaveaga, co-founder and COO of Breadware Inc. “With a fully functional prototype, companies are able to learn fast and make important changes in order to best optimize their product-market fit.”

Breadware Inc. recently closed its seed round financing, which included funding by MountainWest Technology Accelerator, Ozmen Ventures and Watershed Growth Ventures. In the near future, Breadware Inc. will introduce an enterprise service to bring the same easy, cost-effective path to organizations that are moving from concept into production.

“The enterprise IoT market is huge and growing rapidly,” said Gene Wong, managing director of MountainWest Technology Accelerator, and a key investor in Breadware Inc’s seed round. “Breadware is positioned in the area of IoT where very few enabling companies are positioned-local hardware and local processing. The cost-savings and time savings (ROI) that Breadware brings to their customers will be substantial."

The Mega-B Development Kit is priced at $189, includes access to the Breadware IDE, and is available at
