San Jose, CA (PRWEB) May 03, 2017 -- NES Financial, a Silicon Valley FinTech company providing technology-enabled solutions for efficient back and middle office administration of complex financial transactions, announced today the appointment of Tom Steipp as President & Chief Operating Officer.
Having served on the Board of Directors of NES Financial since 2008, Mr Steipp, is a seasoned senior executive with a track record of leading and transforming global technology companies. He is a results-oriented leader with a history of successfully building teams, and optimizing operations to maximize earnings and build shareholder value.
Mr. Steipp was instrumental in the development and launch of new technologies as the CEO of Symmetricom from 1998-2009, and Liquidmetal Technologies from 2010-2016. Prior to those positions, he was the Vice President and General Manager of Broadband Data Networks at Scientific-Atlanta and held various Marketing and GM positions at Hewlett-Packard. Tom graduated from the United States Air Force Academy with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering before earning his M.B.A. from Purdue University. He also holds a Masters Professional Director Certification from the American College of Corporate Directors (ACCD).
“I’m honored to be taking a leadership role in the company at such an exciting time in its history. We’re making significant investments in people, products and partnerships to support our customers and fuel the rapid growth of our Private Equity and EB-5 businesses,” said Mr. Steipp. “Fund Administration, particularly in the Private Equity sector, is rapidly evolving to a data centric, value-add outsourced administrative model. Fund managers and investors are seeking more in the way of transparency, data, and business intelligence from middle and back-office operations, along with efficiencies and operational excellence. Our next-generation fully integrated Fund Administration platform and services deliver those capabilities in a disruptive fashion in a marketplace aggressively seeking higher value from a breadth of undifferentiated offerings of point solutions culled together through spreadsheets.”
“Tom brings a unique perspective, skill set, and track record to his role as President and COO. He has been an important and active member of the Board of NES Financial, he understands the company culture of innovation, our track record of market leadership, and the core values of making our customers more competitive, more profitable, and more scalable. Tom has led technology companies through rapid growth, successfully adapted to significant market changes, and increased shareholder value, all while attracting and maintaining market leading talent in the organization” said NES Financial Chairman & Chief Executive Officer Michael Halloran. “I can’t think of a better fit for the company in terms of experience and leadership.”
Dan Yoder, who for the past 11 years has played a significant role in the growth of the company, while overseeing day-to-day operations as President and Chief Operating Officer, will transition to General Manager of NES Financial’s Private Equity Fund Administration line of business and continue to play a vital strategic role with the company.
