O-Town Sound Wins 2nd Place Mid-Size and 3rd Place Overall in Regional Barbershop Competition
Orlando, FL (PRWEB) May 05, 2017 -- O-Town Sound, a women's barbershop chorus directed by Master Director, Kay Webb, recently competed in the annual regional competition in Daytona Beach, FL. The award winning chorus, a chapter of Sweet Adelines International, won 2nd Place among mid-sized choruses (AA Division) and placed 3rd place overall in the 2017 Coastal Harmony Region 9 chorus contest.
In addition, members of the chapter also successfully competed in the annual regional quartet competition. Luminosity quartet, made up of O-Town Sound members, Kay Webb (tenor), Marcia O'Neil (bass), Kris Brown (baritone) and Christina Haughwout (lead) placed 6th in a field of 21 female barbershop quartets. Speakeasy quartet, featuring O-Town Sound tenor Ali Pauluhn, won the Novice Quartet award.
O-Town Sound holds weekly rehearsals on Monday evening from 7:00 p.m.- 10:00 p.m., at Pine Ridge Presbyterian Church in Metrowest, 3900 S. Hiawassee Rd., Orlando.
