Founder and CEO, Evan Dash discussed how StoreBound is disrupting the landscape of consumer products

StoreBound, a product innovation company that works with inventors and licensing partners to create, manufacture, and distribute innovative products to retailers around the globe was recently recognized as this year’s “Next Great Consumer Brands” at the Consensus Conference at NASDAQ in Times Square. Founder and CEO, Evan Dash, spoke at the conference about how his six year young company is disrupting the landscape of consumer products — from innovative small kitchen appliances to a 3D pancake printer and beyond with smart furniture for the home. The conference featuring emerging, high-impact consumer brands, is a leading event bringing together industry disruptors and growth capital.

Joining renowned brand-building keynote speakers like world champion athlete, Venus Williams and founder of The North Face, Hap Klopp, Evan Dash was tapped to speak about StoreBound and its dramatic growth from startup to a full-fledged consumer brand.

A retail veteran and former SVP of Macy’s turned entrepreneur, Evan Dash founded StoreBound in 2010 with the passion and desire to shake up the tired housewares categories at retail starting with small kitchen appliances. Since shipping their first product in 2011, the company continues to experience exponential revenue growth, category expansion, and distribution. Most recently, StoreBound launched into the furniture category through the crowd-funding site Indiegogo with its new smart home-furnishing brand, Sobro. The first product in the line is a connected coffee table that has already been backed for 1.2 million dollars in less than 45 days.

Dash was an invited speaker at the conference aimed to better understand the next generation of great consumer brands and the dynamic leaders who are driving innovation in consumer products. "Being recognized by the Consensus team as a leader in innovation validates that we are on the right track and it gave me a personal moment to look at all we have accomplished as a team, which was extremely gratifying,” said Dash of the experience.
