IODINE SOFTWARE’S FRAN JURCAK RECEIVES PRESTIGIOUS ACDIS AWARD
Today, Fran Jurcak of Iodine Software received the Recognition of CDI Professional Achievement award at the annual Association of Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialists (ACDIS) Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. This prestigious award is presented annually by ACDIS to honor an individual who has made significant achievement as a CDI professional. Jurcak serves as a role model and mentor to peers, demonstrates leadership, and has affected visible change and measurable improvements in the CDI profession due to her initiatives and work ethic. ACDIS Director Brian Murphy presented Jurcak with the award at the general session of the 10th Annual ACDIS conference, before an audience of more than 1,700 attendees.
In a rapidly evolving profession, Jurcak has demonstrated a deep commitment and passion for the clinical documentation discipline. Prior to joining Iodine Software as the Director of Clinical Innovations, Jurcak practiced as a nurse and nursing professor before becoming active in the CDI profession. She spent nine years in CDI consulting, implementing and directing CDI programs in over 150 hospitals. Since joining Iodine in 2016, Jurcak has continued to coach top-tier CDI program leaders as they strive to elevate their hospital programs. She has also provided education to hundreds of CDI specialists through webinar sessions and participating as a speaker at national and local ACDIS events.
As a proven thought leader in the healthcare industry, Jurcak tirelessly advocates for CDI teams nationally. She empowers CDI specialists and leaders to create efficiencies in workflow processes, resulting in improved documentation metrics and job satisfaction for CDI teams. Recently, Jurcak began hosting free educational webinars for CDI specialists, which resulted in over 350 CEU certificates issued in just six months.
“The CDI industry is fortunate to have a leader like Fran,” said Lindsay Wenk, Vice President of Services at Iodine. “Her passion, energy, drive, and experience influence everyone she encounters, and her impact is felt long after she shares her wisdom.”
The mission of the Association of Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialists, or ACDIS, is to serve as the premier healthcare community for CDI specialists, providing a medium for education, professional growth, certification, and networking through its annual conference, local chapter outreach efforts, regular webinars, website, and social media outlets. The ACDIS conference, now in its tenth year, is the platform for CDI industry professionals across the country to meet and discuss the future of CDI through peer-to-peer networking, exhibits and educational seminars.
