Glass City Academy Selects PowerSchool’s Unified Classroom to Increase Instructional and Learning Time
Folsom, California (PRWEB) May 11, 2017 -- Ohio’s Glass City Academy announced expansion of its partnership with PowerSchool to launch the Unified Classroom. A current PowerSchool Student Information System (SIS) customer, the school will augment its SIS with the Unified Classroom by adding on a learning management system (LMS) and assessment solution to streamline data, instruction, and learning in one centralized place.
“We are trying to make it very easy for teachers to teach students and assess them to identify learning gaps and improve instruction,” said Stewart Jesse, Director of Glass City Academy. “The Unified Classroom provides us with a platform that will save our teachers a lot of time and get them very well organized.”
The LMS component of the Unified Classroom will be new to Glass City Academy’s school community. School leaders are excited about the value it will bring to teachers, students, and parents. “The ability to quickly collect resources and make sure content is aligned to appropriate standards will be seamless for our teachers,” said Jesse.
Teachers were previously spending considerable time using a variety of different programs for assessment and then manually entering the grades into PowerSchool. “We are implementing one platform that unifies all our solutions,” said Jesse. “Everything is under one umbrella with the Unified Classroom, providing us with the opportunity to significantly reduce teacher prep time and instead use that time for instruction.”
“That is the key,” added Jesse. “We can deliver quality instruction aligned to state standards to every child and assess every student. I am not sure any principal can say no to that.”
