Antlers at Vail Hotel Thanks 50 Colorado Front Range Nonprofit Organizations with Annual “Pay it Backward” Weekend Getaway for Staff and Volunteers
Vail, Colorado (PRWEB) May 12, 2017 -- For the third year, Antlers at Vail hotel in Vail, Colorado, will host a special free mountain getaway weekend for Colorado nonprofit organizations – and the list of invitees continues to grow. “We keep adding to our list,” says former Antlers at Vail GM Rob LeVine, who conceived the idea of a May “Pay It Backward” event – a play on the more familiar “Pay It Forward” concept – to thank those who work so hard to help others. The recently retired LeVine continues to be involved with Pay It Backward, this year inviting almost 50 Colorado Front Range organizations to participate in the May 12-14, 2017, weekend escape.
Nonprofits are invited to designate the person of their choice – some choose staff, volunteers, or even clients – for two complimentary nights’ lodging and a Saturday night reception with wine and appetizers prepared by Vail catering chef Barry Robinson (a Fireside Productions video of the inaugural 2015 event captures some of the fun). Guests are welcome to bring spouses, family or friends and spend the weekend enjoying the Vail Valley, from the many active outdoor pursuits to just enjoying some well-earned relaxation at the Antlers.
And as the invitation list expands so does the number of attendees, with almost all of the organizations expected to send representatives this year. “Many of our RSVPs are past attendees,” says LeVine, “but there will be some newbies too.”
The Front Range nonprofit organizations planning to participate in the 2017 Pay It Backward weekend at Antlers at Vail so far are, in alphabetical order: Advocates for Children – CASA; Alliance for Sustainable Colorado; American Heart Association; American Red Cross; Arvada Center for the Arts; Audubon Rockies; Bicycle Colorado; Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado; Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver; Canine Companions for Independence; Catholic Charities Diocese of Pueblo; Clyfford Still Museum; Colorado Coalition against Domestic Violence; Colorado Fourteener Initiative; Colorado Horse Rescue; Colorado Water Trust; Conservation Colorado; Denver Children's Advocacy Center; Denver Rescue Mission; Engineers Without Borders; Firefly Autism; Food Bank of the Rockies; Friends of CAIC (Colorado Avalanche Info Center); Habitat for Humanity of Colorado; Hearts and Horses; Hope House of Colorado; IDEglobal; Joshua Station; Mesa County Partners; Ronald McDonald House; The Home Front Cares; West Mountain Regional Health Alliance; and Women's Foundation of Colorado.
The Antlers at Vail is known for its local community-minded focus, which last year won the hotel Vail Valley Partnership’s Community Impact Award. The Pay It Backward weekend provides a chance to broaden that reach. “It has already become a much-anticipated spring tradition,” says General Manager Magda King. “It’s fun to give back with what we do best – providing comfortable lodgings and top-notch personalized service, offering guests the chance to simply kick back and relax.”
