Mr. Gerard brings over 25 years of marketing and sales experience to e-Spirit, having helped many of the world’s largest technology organizations to develop and execute their marketing strategies. His specialties include leading global teams to tap into the power of digital marketing strategies, coupled with traditional marketing tactics to drive awareness, leads and revenue. Prior to joining e-Spirit, Michael was the CMO of Curata, a leader in the content marketing software space. Prior to Curata, Michael was the head of IDC's CMO and Sales Advisory Practices where he worked with companies such as Oracle, IBM, Citrix, Symantec, Salesforce.com, Adobe, Eloqua and Marketo to improve their marketing and sales productivity.
Michael has presented at leading industry events, such as IDC’s annual Directions event, MIT Sloan School of Management's events, and Sales 2.0 conferences. Michael is often cited in leading publications, including Content Marketing Institute, Sales and Marketing Management, and Marketing News by AMA; and has been recognized as a Top 50 Content Marketing Influencer. He received his MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management, a BS in Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and an MS in Engineering from Northeastern University.
