Novogradac Launches New Federal Infrastructure Tax Credit Resources
SAN FRANCISCO (PRWEB) May 15, 2017 -- There’s now a single location for the best information about a proposed federal infrastructure tax credit.
To commemorate Infrastructure Week 2017, Novogradac & Company LLP, a leading certified public accounting and tax consulting firm, today launched http://www.infrastructurecredits.com, home on the web to current and detailed coverage of infrastructure tax credit proposals, including a plan expected from President Donald Trump’s administration and legislation coming soon in Congress.
Trump’s proposal would potentially include enough tax credits to make a total of $1 trillion available to finance such things as road and bridge repairs; rail and bus systems; water and sewer programs; airports, waterways and ports; and other important national infrastructure systems.
“An infrastructure tax credit has great potential to aid in rebuilding American infrastructure,” said Michael J. Novogradac, managing partner in Novogradac & Company LLP’s San Francisco headquarters. “We will now provide a place where one can see federal news, legislation, reports, state news and updates from our Federal Infrastructure Tax Credit working group. This is a virtual library of infrastructure tax credit information that will continue to grow.”
The tax credit content follows in the footsteps of Novogradac sites on the low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC), new markets tax credit (NMTC), historic tax credit (HTC) and renewable energy tax credits. Each site also exists as a resource page on Novogradac’s main website, http://www.novoco.com. The infrastructure content will evolve to provide similar information to that found in other resource centers as proposals progress.
“Novogradac’s ability to serve our clients and to stay ahead of the curve on what’s happening in the tax credit world go hand in hand,” said Owen Gray, head of the Federal Infrastructure Tax Credit Working Group. “As federal infrastructure tax credit proposals advance–and possibly become law–we will be focused on how to best design and implement an infrastructure tax credit program.”
