Each year, Resource One Credit Union hosts their annual Document Shredding Events that help people protect themselves against identity theft by destroying documents containing sensitive information. Resource One Credit Union announced their annual Document Shredding Events will be held June through July 2017.
Document shredding events will be held the following dates:
Friday, June 2, 2017 from 11 AM – 6 PM:
South Side - 1200 Belleview St., Dallas, TX 75215
Saturday, June 10, 2017 from 9 AM – 1 PM:
East Dallas - 8344 E R.L. Thornton Fwy #110, Dallas, TX 75228
Saturday, June 24, 2017 from 9 AM – 1 PM:
Spring Cypress and Firehouse Subs - 22560 Tomball Pkwy #100, Houston, TX 77070
Friday, July 21, 2017 from 9 AM – 1 PM:
North Garland – 2475 Arapaho Rd., Garland, TX 75044
The shred events are open to the public. There is a maximum 15 box limit per vehicle. Only paper documents are allowed. Acceptable items to shred include:
- Bank Statements
- Forms (Medical, Insurance, Tax, Other)
- Personal Files
- Old Checkbooks and Checks
- Junk Mail
The documents will be disposed of onsite by Shred It, a division of Stericycle. Shred It holds a certification for document destruction from the National Association for Information Destruction.
