SigScale Announces Public Open Source Release of Online Charging System (OCS) Release 2.0 under Apache 2.0 License
Nice, France (PRWEB) May 18, 2017 -- At the TM Forum live! event in Nice today SigScale Global Inc. announced the second public release of SigScale OCS, under an Apache 2.0 open source license, introducing DIAMETER protocol for support of 3GPP use cases.
SigScale OCS is a carrier grade solution for authentication, authorization and accounting (AAA) with real time credit management enabling communications service providers (CSP) to offer prepaid or usage sensitive services. SigScale OCS 2.0 adds DIAMETER protocol support in addition to existing RADIUS with EAP-PWD and EAP-TTLS authentication protocols required for Wi-Fi HotSpot 2.0 advanced “in-pocket" cellular experience. SigScale OCS 2.0 with DIAMETER provides 3GPP operators, vendors and systems integrators with an open source alternative to high cost proprietary solutions for Voice-over-WLAN (VoWLAN/VoWiFi) with it's high performance AAA server. With integrated real time credit management, and TM Forum Open APIs for OSS/BSS integration, SigScale OCS may be used by CSPs as the engine for fully prepaid services. With a modern HTML5 Web Components GUI, SigScale OCS can also provide a standalone open source solution for prepaid services.
SigScale is at the TM Forum live! event this week participating in a Catalyst Project demonstration use of ETSI Open Source MANO (OSM) with a AAA use case scenario. The project is championed by four major operators.
