New Context, a Lean Security company that automates the orchestration, governance, and protection of the Industrial Internet, and sponsor of the OASIS Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) Technical Committee, today announced it has sponsored Borderless Cyber USA, to be held June 21-22, at the Alexander Hamilton U.S. Custom House in New York City.

“Our role on the CTI Technical Committee has afforded us the opportunity to contribute to the future of threat intelligence sharing in a big way,” said Daniel Riedel, CEO of New Context. “We’re particularly excited about supporting OpenC2 as that group moves into OASIS, and we look forward to the continued evolution of STIX, TAXII, and all parts of the cyberthreat intelligence ecosystem.”

OASIS, the host of Borderless Cyber conferences in the U.S. and abroad, is a nonprofit consortium that drives the development, convergence and adoption of open standards for the global information society. The organization promotes industry consensus and produces worldwide standards for security, Internet of Things, cloud computing, energy, content technologies, emergency management, and other areas.

“New Context has been instrumental in supporting the development of an industry-wide STIX and TAXII open standards framework for cyberthreat intelligence, which is crucial for the information security industry to be able to define and share threats,” added Laurent Liscia, CEO and Executive Director at OASIS. “The CTI Technical Committee has expanded to include a large variety of organizations and industries around the world, and an increasing number of businesses and governments across the globe are seeing the value of this collaborative approach.”
